KROK is a Licensing Examination, an obligatory part of state certification for awarding the qualification of doctor or pharmacist. Students who are preparing for the specialties “Medicine”, “Dentistry” and “Pharmacy” pass two separate test exams – “KROK–1” and “KROK–2“. Ukrainian medical students, who wish to seek licensure to practice medicine in Ukraine, typically take KROK -1 at the end of the third year of medical school. The Exam Is for duration of 200 minutes taken in a single day, composed of 200 multiple-choice questions. The criterion "pass / fail" established by the Testing Centre at the level of 60.5%.

KROK-2 - the examination for professional-oriented disciplines that correspond to the training program for professionals in the medical field. If the candidate doesn’t pass state attestation, they won’t get the diploma of higher education institutions. The candidate may retake the KROK-2 test earlier than 1 year.

Feedback from students about KROK

While some of the students may consider KROK exams to be a kind of hindrance in their path of graduation most other students to do not consider that way. While there is no doubt that KROK exams require preparation, the fact of the matter is that if the students concentrate on their studies from Day 1 it will not at all be difficult to pass KROK. In fact preparing for KROK indirectly helps the students to be ready to face other licensing exams like USMLE/UK PLAB/MCI NEXT.
